The absolute team of C.D.E. La Cantábrica has been sub-champion of the Cantabria Championship for Clubs 2015 revalidating the achievement obtained last year.
The championship of Cantabria by clubs 2015 has been played on land battles, in the facilities of the club Parayas on 6 and 7 June. After the draw held on Saturday in which the club Parayas (1) and the C.D.E. La Cantábrica (2) were head of series, we were lucky in the semi-finals to play against the club Orlando.
The number 2 Javi Hernando, gave us the first point after winning contundently 6-0 6-0 his game in a little more than half an hour. After a long match at 3 sets, Javier Sáinz (number 3) gave us the second point after rebounding the initial set against 4-6 6-4 6-3. Then Chus Cobo (number 1) gave us the third and definitive point after rebounding also the initial set and 'obligating' to the withdrawal of his rival for injury 3-6 7-6 2-0. The last individual match was not disputed because the opponent of Jose Antonio Sánchez (number 4) did not present in the regulatory time to play it. This victory made the team remain in the first category a year more and played the title against the club Parayas at the end of Sunday 7 June.
Anyway, they have achieved a brilliant performance a year more and we hope it can be repeated in the future.
